Bobby Deen Turns 38!
Paula Deen's single, Southern, (and sexy to some) son--Bobby Deen--is turning a sweet 38 years old today. Happy Birthday, Bobby!
Jared was forcing me to watch Paula Deen on QVC last night, which was strange because I'm usually the one making him watch something Food Network-related. A person called in and actually commented on it being Bobby's birthday the next day. Those dedicated QVCers!
Sadly, Bobby wasn't there for the QVC special with his momma (hope there's not another blurred out scandal going on)... but I did find comfort in the fact that one can order three 2 lb. trays of Paula Deen's macaroni and cheese without even getting up off the couch. I'm proud to be an American...

Was Paula Deen pitching macaroni and cheese ? WTF is the matter with our country so that we have some hillbilly selling us frozen mac and cheese which any moron can make ? I think you can also buy frozen mac'ncheez at grocery stores.
As for Mama providing Bobby employment, don't yeah think Mama owes the kids for all the the Oliver Twist years she subjected them to ? I can just see the Deen urchins out peddling Mama's sandwichs while Mama stayed at home and watched Donahue and Merv Griffin and go more depressed.
Ms.Deen always fail to mention that her two " boys " were 22 and 19...Not little children...
Her kids were 22 and 19 when they were sent out peddling Mama's sandwiches !!!! ? Get out.
That is just backwoods freakin crazy. You would think 22 yr old Jamie Deen would say " Mama, I don't feel like hustling your sandwiches today, I'd rather hang out drinking Colt 45 with DeWayne and the boys, so can you make Bobby do it himself " ?
She had Jamie leave college ( He wasn't very successful academically any way ...That's not hard to believe )so that he could come back to Savannah and help her out ... Bobby just went along with it because he wasn't " college material " ( NO KIDDING ) ... He was working in Circuit City or selling cars or something dead-end...

Give Bobby a break! He is handsome, hardworking, and can cook. He is the perfect guy. For all of you who are giving the Deans a hard time, you are obviously watching their shows. They must be doing something right!
I say give both Bobby and Jamie a break. I don't think they could have said "no" to their Mama if they wanted to. (And if you really loved YOUR Mama and she asked YOU, could YOU say no!). From all accounts both MEN worked their 'donkeys' off peddling her sandwiches. So I say, they deserve whatever success (financial or otherwise) that has come their way as a result of her success. More power to them both.

No one disputes their hard work ...And ,yes , totally abandoning my education would have been very hard for me to do even if my Mama had asked me...But , then again my mother would have never been selfish enough to deprive her children of an education...Even people in the poorest situations want their children to be educated people...But, I don't believe the Deen Boys ever had the aptitude for any kind of higher education...
What is so objectionable about them , however , is their portrayal of the " Southern Redneck Stereotype " , and also their allegience , which is so obviously , money-motivated , to the immoral Smithfield Company in spite of the begging and pleas of the workers and their families ...

Those boys were raised right. No son from the south ever says no to mama. You naysayers of Bobby have no clue; and besides before coming back to the family restaurant he was off on his own with a successful career when family asked him to return and help them.
Bobby is a good man; and if he would like a woman a mere 7 years older than him (brought up with southern values and ways) I am available :)
The one that you are speaking about is Jamie. He was off in Yellowstone when Paula asked him to return home. Bobby was working at Circuit City in Savannah, the basic sales clerk position.

He's looking for a date!!!...So am I...I am from New England but travel often down south...So...I love the southern accent not too mention the southern cookin..Other places I like to travel to is NYC...I love checking out different resturants in the different states i travel to and through...I aslo love live entertainmen....So...Bobby..If your still lookin I'm right here

Jesus, it seems like y'all could use a good dose of southern hospitality. Is it so wrong that someone has a regional accent and lucky enough to be so successful simply doing what they love? Get off your high horses!
