More Backstage Antics at Paula's Party
Best Week Ever (a favorite tv show AND blog of mine) has posted this awesome video from their visit to a Paula's Party taping last month in New York City.
Paula and Clay and Duff, oh my!
Also, at a recent cooking demo in Atlanta, Paula officially announced the launch of her syndicated talk show that I told you about back in April.
Paula gets a little misty over the announcement. Either she's extremely nervous about the prospect (many daytime talkshows fail within the first or second season), or she's extremely excited about the kind of cash cow a daytime talkshow can become.
I'm still a little nervous about this show, though. Will Paula tape her daily, syndicated talkshow in Savannah, Georgia, ignoring the fact that the majority of such shows are done in either LA or New York? (Or Chicago, in Oprah's case.) Or will she uproot her family with a semi-permanent residence in NYC? Even Atlanta would be a more opportune city for pulling in the kind of audiences a daily show needs.
Whatever happens, let me know if you need a writer for that show, Paula! I got a million butter jokes.

Oh,I believe that she would be VERY exited at the prospect of making more money...No matter what, where or when...At ANY cost !
Oh, she has people standing in line for her restaurant in Savannah so I'm sure she'd have them standing in line for her show!
It was reported a few months ago (Savannah news) that her sons purchased the building two doors down from the restaurant. The news article did not say or know what they were going to use the building for. I wonder if this will be turned into a production studio?
Paula has a lot on her plate! Her show "Paula's Home Cooking" will be replaced with "Paula Dishes". The concept of the new show is for a guest to show Paula how to cook a special dish.
When your time is being spread so thin, it doesn't leave much time to perfect new dishes to share. The question one can wonder is where will she film her two shows and talk show? Maybe a production studio in Savannah might just be the answer.
I think the building next to the Lady and Sons is the "Paula Deen Store" now. I heard her talking about it on QVC.
Yes, the Paula Deen store is located next to there restaurant, but according to the news report, the building the boys bought is two doors down from the Lady and Sons and her Paula Deen store. The building they purchased, according to the article, was occupied by the restaurant "Sorry Charlie" which went out of business.
The Paula Deen store is located right next to the Lady and Sons, there is another restaurant next to the Paula Deen store, and then the building the boys bought. Again the article didn't state what they were going to do with it.
Ohhhhhh.... hmmm. I kinda doubt they'd turn it into a TV studio, but who knows.
