Giada's Baby Smiles; Giada Smiles Bigger

Giada De Laurentiis Giada De Laurentiis' first baby, Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson, hasn't been seen in public (that I know of) since her birth on March 29.

So until the pics come out, we'll have to rely on a firsthand account.

Giada gushed to People magazine on Sunday that little Jade "smiled for the first time yesterday! It sounds so corny – and I remember my friends telling me and me being like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah,' but it's so special. Especially when you're sleep deprived and all you do is change poopy diapers, it's so great to get something in return."

G also reveals that she's been developing gourmet baby food and making her husband Todd try all the recipes first.

Everybody get in line for mashed bananas and prosciutto!

No matter how much you love her, you gotta admit, she does have a giant mouth.

Yeah that is one big cakehole .

I really think Giada is starting to act in a prima donna manner.

I think her ego is growing by the day and she has changed so much since she first broke in. Oversaturation maybe ?

That and she cannot say basic Italian words like spaghetti and pancetta without putting some weird Italian patois to them.

for God's sake, she was born in Rome, Italy and Italian is her first language-she moved to the US when she was 5 or 7? that's how you say the word...you people sound like a bunch of xenophobes.

Dude, I know she was born in Italy and she moved here when she was young.

I also know tons of Italians, some FOB, some over here for years.

We talk about FN personalities Italianizing words and phrases and how stupid it sounds. Mario Batali is guilty as hell too. He can out Motzarellllllla Giada anyday.

Giada can pulverize Mario with her pan-cheeeta.

Why they do it ? I think De Laurentis does it to remind people she is a real Italian, not Italian American and it's her way of authenticating EveryDay Italian.

Mario, I think he tries hard to get people to believe he's Italian period. Part of his brand I suppose.

Giada has, like, twenty extra teeth.

I agree with Alec, the prima donna is emerging rapidly, and I honestly did enjoy Giada before she got so full of herself. I wouldn't so much mind her taking 2 full minutes to say 'parmigiano reggiano' if she would also pay a little more attention to English. The way she says 'sam-wich' makes me cringe.

That 8 foot tall Italian friend of Ina's doesn't say spa-GIT-tee or panCHEETah.... Is it just me, or does FN seem to make over most of their on-air personalities into overblown caricatures of their original selves??? Run Ina, Run Away!

I agree with the post above

I am not surprised she has gone the Hollywood route. After all I am sure she was exposed to her fair share of actors .And actors make tremendous role models right ?

Did she go to an actual accredited culinary school or was it the crash course Cordon Bleu one year deal where anyone with a pulse can attend ?

Someone asked : " Is it just me, or does FN seem to make over most of their on-air personalities into overblown caricatures of their original selves??? "

Yes apparently so. A few have escaped the Wrath of the Tuschenator , but sadly many fall victim. A few even see fit to physically alter themselves to fill out the caricature they have created. Rachel Ray is changing before our very eyes.

I wonder if these personalities know that after a while, people start to detest them due to this major oversaturation.

Some is faster than others, right Fee'Nasty ?

Discarded like week old mesclun mix . Have you no pride?

She went to the Cordon Bleu for the course that is the "real thing." The one year course combines basic and advanced - it isn't the "crash course," which would be shorter courses (one month, one week or, for the busy tourist, one weekend).

Is someone jealous of this beautiful and talented person. Personally I love to watch her and I think that she's a a breath of fresh air! Ripping on her is just a little too much display of envy
