Rachael Ray Coming to Your Produce Aisle
If you thought you could avoid her by just doing NONE of the following: watching Food Network, enjoying daytime TV, reading magazines, eating donuts, buying dog food, listening to holiday music or ringtones, shopping in any store's kitchen section, looking at your cell phone, watching commericals, or attending charity events -- well, think again. Cuz Rachael Ray is coming to your grocery store's produce section.
Well, kind of.
In what Mediaweek cutsily refers to as "out-of-home media," 30-second vignettes featuring demos of products like Kraft Nilla Wafers or almonds, sponsored by Rach's mag Everyday With Rachael Ray, will be airing this month in Albertson's grocery stores across the country.
"The vignettes will end with a shot of the magazine cover and the tagline, Brought to you by Every Day with Rachael Ray, says Mediaweek."
In addition to grocery store expansion, the mag will be amping up its content.
Rachael Ray will expand its editorial mission in upcoming issues. Under editor Silvana Nardone, the monthly introduced a travel column, “Travel 101,” in the December/January issue (the first is devoted to budget travel tips). In February, the book will introduce a user-generated, front-of-book section, “Talk,” emphasizing a feature advertisers of all kinds are craving. And a beauty/style column by Gretta Monahan, a pal on Ray’s daytime talk show, will make its debut in the March issue.

So much Rachael Ray. So little time to pay attention to her in the produce section. Agreed?

Oh, Lordy! This is one the main reasons I don't go to Wal Mart. Those dumb tv's with Pawler Deen yellin at me to buy Smithfield. Ick.
BTW, if that Santa Claus in the picture of the produce section?
These already play at my local Albertsons. Along with clips of Bobby Flay, Tyler FLorence, and other FN stars.
Her empire continues to grow. Ugh.
enough already
As long as she doesn't try to make her numb nuts husband part of the promo, I'm OK with this.
i swear i've heard paula deen, bobby flay and giada doing this at my local alberstons.
I'm a bit Rachael Ray'd out, myself.
Thank god I've moved away from Albertson's. . .
Albertson's? Never heard of it. A sigh a releif is heard from the depths of Western PA!
Oh, thank heavens that Publix just bought out all of the Albertsons here in SW FL, so at least I know I don't have to run into her. She needs to take some time off and let us all rest in peace! Enough is enough already!
As if the wonky shopping cart wheels and cans stacked in the middle of the aisles weren't bad enough.
she just doesnt seem like the same rachael from the early days of FN...she seems snobby. even on the new epi's of 30 min meals, she seems like she'd rather be on her talk show and that shes too good for her roots at FN.
Please make it stop...really she's
so far past overexposed we need a
new word for it..perhaps Rach could
come up with a cute one?
For the love of biscuits & gravy ...
The girl just needs to GO AWAY ...
I wish people would STOP buying her crappy stuff as well as watching her crappy shows ...
At least the CBC doesn't have her annoying commercials on ...
Poor Isaboo ... Though, that's just her stage name ... Her real name is "Chester" ...
Bring on More Rach anytime- I can never get enough of her!! Rock on Sista!
Hey all you suxters and ex-suxters, RC Smith befriended Misty Lane and made good on his promise to stomp out rrsux. hahahahaha
Misty Lane... the rrsux forum still exists, just not with Misty running it, so RC can kiss my white behind. That loser can never get rid of intelligent and thoughtful cooks. What a fraud RayHo is, no wonder the world is going to pot, with people like her giving out cooking advice.
The heart and soul of RRSUX minus the "mustiness" is alive and well at the livejournal community boardoutmind.
I am so sick of her face, her voice and anything to do with her. In all honesty, her 30 minute meals was what got me addicted to the food network. At this point I've had enough. Please make her go away!!!
I just hate the fact that there's TVs all over the supermarket now! They've already been showing Rachael Ray on the TVs in the check-out line at my Acme (owned by Albertson's).
What is it with these people? I don't have a problem with Rachael just these "followers" who hang on every word, buy every crappy product, and make her messipes and believe this is the food she actually cooks and eats. It's like a cult or something.
I guess I don't begrudge anyone trying to make a buck. Rachel, Paula, Albertson's or Walmart.
I have a side biz, and if I could get free commercials in every grocery store across the country, I think I'd jump on the opportunity too.
Only dumb ignorant people that have way too much time on their hands would need to stop and be entertained by Rachael or any of these other clowns pitching food products.
I dunno, I'm even burned out by RR and I love her to no end. When she went to qvc I was done. Now that's just being greedy. And she said she picked her favorite items from her collection to hock on qvc and I think that was b.s...most of the things she was selling was stuff no one was buying in the stores, aside from her new big orange book. I'm even skipping her book signing this weekend cuz I just don't want to be bothered. I do love the wonderful charities she is involved with and the good she's doing, but I'm jumping off the RR train for now.
No Charles - say it is not SO!! Rach is the best - she gives and has the most generous heart on the planet -- who can resist her passion for life and who can't help but smile when she does -- Rachael has and will always be an inspiration to all those lucky enough to know who she is... Bless you Rach and you are in on Prayers on Dec 16th - Get well soon Sweetie -
Well it looks like Charles finally was able to get off the mushrooms and is thinking clearly now.
Good work Charles.
Way to go Charles. Well said about Rachael Ray. Her whole empire is so out of control!!!!! Too bad, all she has to say is NO to the everyone who runs her and company. She doesn't so what does that tell all of us!!!!!!!!!
Rach rambles, stop talking for a little bit. It's like she's on some upper or high caffeine.
