Sunny Anderson Is Stripping!
...keep your clothes on, everybody.
Sunny Anderson revealed today that her Food Network show Cooking for Real is getting stripped, meaning it will run every day Monday through Friday. Watch for it at 4pm through the week and on at noon on Saturdays. Congrats Sunny!
Sunny mentioned this might be happening when we chatted back in February, but we couldn't reveal anything then.
She now joins some of Food Network's biggest strippers—Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, Alton Brown, Ina Garten—with her own daily presence on the network. Quite an accomplishment considering her relatively short time on Food Network.

The opinions might be mixed on Sunny and her show, but I will tell you that Sunny's definitely not doing this just to get famous of make money. I'm sure it was a BIG risk leaving a career you're having success in to follow a passion. I respect her for that.

Good for Sunny! She's building a fan base and doin' everything right so far. About the only thing detractors have come up with is ... she's too cheery? lol

I didn't even think that most of these shows they're sticking on in the afternoon actually had a large enough stock for more than one or two months of airings ...
It's crazy stuff like this that's sending me to the "Create" network from PBS ... with Sara & Ming and Jacques ... and those crazy kids from Vermont ... LOL
I did notice this morning that RR is only one from 530p-6p CST. Her 5pm hour now shows Paula in that slot. This may be old news, but it's the first time that I've noticed it. Good for Sunny though. She seems like a nice person.
Woo-hoo! Go Sunny! I think I'm going to make some of her peaches and cream oatmeal cookies to celebrate for her!

I don't get it. No one is forcing anyone to watch anyone's show. I don't like Sandra Lee or Paula Deen, so I don't watch their shows. And I probably should say that I don't like public personalities and their recipes, but I'm sure they are nice and good people.

Does Sunny ever stop talking? I know they need to talk a lot but man, she is a piece of work. I bet there hasn't been 5 consecutive seconds of silence on that show, ever. Rachael doesn't even talk that much.
I have no problem with people being snarky about the FN personalities. I don't buy into the argument that if you don't like it, don't watch. FN is part of a cable package. People don't have the opportunity to cherry picks the channels they want to pay to have access to. So, even if I don't like what the FN has turned into, I am still paying for that channel even though I don't want to. Having the ability to cherry pick the channels people want to watch and pay for is a nice idea in theory, but in reality far too expensive to implement.
As for Sunny, I am not a big fan of hers. I just don't think there is a lot there.
A lot of the FN personalities appear to be putting on a lot of weight. Granted, it is none of my business, but if eating their food is going to turn me into one of the Oompa Loompas, I think I will pass on their recipes.

I have to admit, I am a Sunny fan. I love her recipes and her rapport. Yes, she may talk a bit... BUT nothing like that raspy ass bitch(yall know who im talking about)
I have also noticed that many of the personalities HAVE put on weight. Especially Danny Boome, he was so hot when he started. Now he looks like a weeble wooble.. And that hair... dont get me started!!

Why do these people have to wear tight spandex crap? I'm not saying anything about anyone's body, but I could see Sunny's belly button perfectly through her tight shirt the other day and I'd rather not. Rachael does the same thing. Stretchy stuff is for rail-thin people, folks.
I figured out what it is that bothers me about the incessant talking. There is hardly any pause between her sentences. Sentences end with periods, Sunny. There is supposed to be at least a little pause.
Danny Boome is fat? Rachael Ray? Tyler Florence? Sunny? You people are wearing me out with talk about weight, weight, weight. It's a shame that we've had it drilled into our dead, herd-like minds that a silhouette with even 10 extra pounds on it is now categorized as 'fat,' and unacceptable on our TV (and computer) screens. A curvy dish like Sunny is representative of what most women (and men) look like- at least in the USA. So now even cooks on television shows have to have lean, movie-star abs and ultra-trim torsos? Sorry- we can't all look like Giada. And if I'm watching a cooking show, the weight of the host is not my concern in the first place anyway.
She is a GODDESS!! She is a perfect woman! Funny, gorgeous, gourmet cook, and that BEAUTIFUL THICK BEHIND!!!
