Alex Guarnaschelli's Tempted by Cupcakes
Alex Guarnaschelli posted a Facebook status update this morning (although they really aren't status updates anymore, are they?) about her plan to shed a few pounds, despite the evil temptations of birthday sweets:
Alexandra Guarnaschelli I really am trying to lose some weight. Not anything serious. Just a few pounds. I am trying to be lighthearted. I have a small package of anemic looking melba toast and some slightly smushed triangles of Laughing Cow Cheese as my breakfast. I am chewing, staring at a huge, goopy chocoalte cupcake leftover from my daughter's birthday party. Life can be cruel. 27 minutes ago
Awww... that's tough, Alex. Enjoy the cheese and toasts, though! Having dined twice at Butter, the NYC restaurant where Alex is head chef, I'm sure the temptation to indulge is ever-present (they have some rich, rich food there!).

Do you think she might check herself in for a serious attitude adjustment while she is at it ?
I guess carrying around a big load can make you cranky , but this broad is just plain miserable for no reason other than trying to be seen as an authoritative figure on the lame shows she take part in.
She has gone from being a nobody to a FN nobody to a fat nobody. Too bad as she showed promise, but the famewhoring got the best of her.
I would love to see this condensending psyudo chef put her so called skills up against real working chef on Chopped. I must agree with the previous blogger; why does anyone care what she says.
I watched Chopped a few times and liked it but the more I watched it the more I got annoyed by her you cannot do anything to please me attitude.
i'm relieved i'm not the only one who thinks her attitude ruins every show i see her on ... i like Chopped, but i can't watch it if she's one of the judges ...
I don't know; did you see the episode where she had tears running down her face as the "Chopped" winner was choked up?
And I am still smiling about how she criticized one overzealous chef by saying, about his dish, "Sometimes you just gotta leave a tender moment alone." Adorable.
Her bit about a scrumptious apple tart on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" was fun, too.
I really liked her on The Cooking Loft, but not so much on Chopped.
So Jake, just how many freebie meals has Chef Les Miserable comped you and Jairod ? Is it two rounds now ?
Food for flattery ? I think that is how your love affair with Alex G looks to many people. What else could it be ?
Aww. My wife, daughter, and I find Alex adorable. Love her facial expressions.

The only person I can't stand more than Guy '40 going on 20' Fieri is this stupid woman Alex Guarnaschelli. I watched Chopped for awhile until I just couldn't stand listening to Alex anymore. If the two other judges like something, she hates it and vice versa. I truly want to reach through my TV and strangler her. Now I hear she is going to have her own show on FN... please... no... more... Plus didn't she already have a show that crapped out before? She might be a chef, but she is also a hack. I hope she fails miserably.

You all know that TV shows edit heavily to give the illusion of drama, right? I certianly hope you don't think the judges on there act like that in real life.
Those judges talk for 10 minutes only to have the editing room reduce it to 5 words out of context.
