No Surprise: Martha Stewart Still Hates Rachael Ray
In what was billed a TELEVISION FIRST, Martha Stewart and Rachael Ray made appearances on each others daytime talkshows last week.
And despite promo clips urging us to "forget all the rumors" and all the headlines of any supposed rivalry between the two... after watching Rachael's appearance on Martha, I'm more than convinced that Martha still has cold feelings toward Rach.
Now, "bitch" is often an unfair and overly used term to describe a lot of people, but consider this scene from Rachael's appearance on Martha:
Martha hears Rachael call her pastry cutouts "those little dudes" and replies with:
"If I start calling my pastry 'dudes', sew up my mouth."
...sometimes bitch is the only appropriate word, you know?!
Perhaps Martha is still bitter over Rachael's show airing its Barry Manilow episode on the same day that Martha had him on live... or the fact that Rachael just had an 18% jump to a 1.9 rating, while Martha's show has been sitting at a 0.6... or the fact that Rachael Ray has won the Outstanding Talk Show (Entertainment) Emmy two years in a row... or the fact that a prisoner once sued Martha for $3.5 million, saying he'd donate it to Rachael Ray (not making that up)... I'm not sure.
Whatever it is, lighten it up Martha!

Go Martha! Rachael has been bothering me more and more lately, I can barely handle the sound of her voice. If her recipes were delicious it would somewhat make up for her annoying manner, but everything I've made via her recipes has been subpar.

With an average of just one update a week, this is the best there is to put up here? This just in: Martha Stewart is a bitch. I also have it on good authority that Mario Batali is fat.

I think you go out of your way to target many food celebrities/chefs that are not presently associated with Food Network.
I think you're struggling to remain the "Addict" even though you know FN programming has become so lame and unwatchable at times. Rather than attack and criticize anyone of the FN perpetrators, you go after people like Martha and Emeril and canonize people like Goldman and Sunny Anderson. Who's next? Aaron McCargo ?

I saw Martha on Rach's show and vice versa. While Martha truly can do it all it seems, I get soooo tired of Rachael dumbing down her own talent or skills. She is forever saying, "I'm not a chef", "I can't bake", etc....she is still, IMO, a good cook. She has inspired a lot of people, (including moi), to cook and her line of products makes it fun. You simply cannot compare the two as they are both unique and creative and offer something the other one does not.
I find it interesting that Martha is just now putting out a cookbook that emphasizes "quick cooking", and how she even plugged her own book by giving one to Rachael at the end of her show. I also noticed how uncomfortable Rachael was on Martha's show, barely looking at her towards the end of the segment and quick to go backstage. I feel Martha is a little jealous, for whatever reasons, of Rach's success and Rachael cannot be so naieve not to feel the "knife in the back" from Martha.
I thought Martha was a snob on both shows with Rachael. Rachael was gracious and plugged the crap out of MS and all her stuff. I was looking forward to it and Martha disappointed me. And It killed me when Rachael said on both her show and Martha's - I can barely make dinner... well listen up Rach - you do not have to put yourself down for that bitch! EVER!
Martha treats ALL her guests that way! She's a condescending bitch.
I'm glad my local tv station pulled her show. A couple of months ago they replaced her with Bonnie Hunt, moved Martha to 3AM. Now they took her off completely and replaced her with infomercials. LOL!
They are both totally different show hosts. I saw both shows and they were fine. Lighten-up everyone.
Rachael is a class act all the way. Martha is just jealous of her success and her appeal to everyday folks. And furthermore, she has no reason whatsoever to feel inferior to a convicted felon.
I agree with Tennisluver-- Martha has the ability to make anything she does on her show completely awkward and icy. Only Rosey O'donell and Joan Rivers seem to have immunity to her. That's the Martha Stewert difference! *ding*
I like Rachael allot. She is fun to watch , and pretty to boot.Martha is a dried up old , hateful bag. I live in Maine(she has an estate here)and god forbid if you talk to her , or turn around at the end of her drive. She is so bitter , she calls the cops on you!She flatters herself thinking we Mainers care about her...we don't!
This is all soooo entertaining. Didn't see either appearance but I know Rachel and the bitter old lady too. I'm sure Martita was a B but that isn't gonna stop good ole Rache so swim in it lady. There's room for both of ya. Buy a bigger and better house right next door to her Rachel and talk it up REAL loud. Ahahahaha!!!!!!!
