Food2 Launches with New Series by Kelsey Nixon, Adam Roberts, and more

Food2, the site that Kelsey Nixon told the Utah Valley magazine would launch in January (it had its soft launch back in March) has quietly launched some of the promised video content, including the original series Kelsey & Spike Cook.

Don't get too clever on us, Food2!

The Food Network-affiliated site has been in the works for about a bajillion years, so this is a big step.

Amateur Gourmet Adam Roberts is also back with a self-titled series, while Football star (I use the term lightly, as my knowledge of football is, like, zero) Keith Neubert is hosting something called "Man Kitchen."

*********************
Food Network has tried its hand at web-only shows before, the first ones being Dave Lieberman's "Eat This" and "Dave Does." They both had a temporary, finite feel to them, so I'll be interested to see if this is something they'll be able to pull off long term.

Spike Mendelsohn? I'm glad FN Is throwing another Jew into the lineup, but it's another reason why Jewish people like myself, who have outrageously ethnic last names, cannot have nicknames...doesn't sound right.

So I watched both of the little movies with Kelsey and Spike and what a freakin mess! The two are both trying WAY to hard to put in so much info in at the SAME time that it is hard to follow, and He thinks he is all hip but putting "hip" items into a food isn't a guarantee it will be good or even sound good! Brown butter pancakes with Lime? grapes? cooked in olive oil? Who would ever make this? At least her food was more on the normal side. But I think it was way to much going on at once. They talk over eachother and it is a mess! Anyone agree>?????

I got about half way through the steak episode and got fed up with the whole thing. Spike is a messy cook who is trying WAY too hard to be hip. I liked his use of skirt steak, but that was about it. He made Kelsey look good by comparision.

I may try watching it again sometime and see if I can get through the whole thing...or not.

Are they giving all the losing contestants from this series a show ? Why not give one to Lisa Garza? She deserves it more than Gertler or Little Ms. Sunshine.

I'm all for giving nicknames to Jewish folk. It's rather easy too.

Adam Roberts. HAHAHAHAHAH Where the fuck did they find this jamoke . I cannnot recall someone being as uncomfortable and unnatural in front of a camera as this tool is. Roberts probably pays FN to be on.HAHAHA

LAst I saw of L'il Doofus, he was slumming around as one of Ted Allen's food techs . HAHAHAHAHA

Comedy Central at FN.

all i can say is i am thrilled i am losing my analog tv reception and will not have any digital at all so i won't have to worry about seeing ANYTHING on the food network anymore.....or any other channels either. tv is a brain killer.
90% of all of it is crap anyway....

I think Adam is a nice guy, but he does NOT need to be in front of the camera.

Spike is such a douchebag, and I did a happy dance when he was thrown off Top Chef.

I made a grilled cheese sandwich once. Do I qualify for my own FN2 show too? Sadly, probably yes. FN is toast.

Making a grilled cheese sandwich does put you in the running for a show on FN.

A quicker way is to date Tuschman or get over to Chelsea Market with a pair of knee pads and have a private audition.
